Congresswoman Matsiu invited CEO David F. Wiley to participate in a round table discussion focusing on small business issues plaguing entrepreneurs in the current economy. Several local business owners participated with the focus on an open dialogue to hear everyone’s thoughts on the economy, small business issues and concerns, and provide thoughts on how the government can help small businesses succeed.
Overall, this was a nice outlet for frustrations most everyone had, namely, banks are not providing adequate lending to most businesses. It seems the banks have become extremely conservative in their lending practices which is making it difficult for small business to grow quickly.
